Have you heard of “the Forum”?
Check them out here: @theforumca
It’s a non-profit based out of Vancouver- a group with the slogan “Leave no woman behind!”… and Mangata has taken every course/workshop they have offered because the value of what they provide and the support shown to small business owners (not to mention the mentorship- we have had two mentors through the forum!) is invaluable.
Every year the team from Mangata attends the Pitch night (virtually but last year as a volunteer which was AMAZING!) in order to get inspired by the many amazing women across Canada and their businesses. This year we will be applying to pitch ourselves so stay tuned to see what happens:)
But back on track…
We are beyond grateful to have a mention in their Community Success Stories this past week (see snippet below).
“Geenees Founder and CEO Libi Berenson, an alumna of the Money Moves and Pitch programs, was featured by Innovate BC for the impact her company is having in the nonprofit space.
Mangata Apothecary and Founder Stefanie Henderlin, an E-Series, Money Moves and Mentor Program alumna, was featured as the UPS Small Business of the Day by CanadianSME Small Business Magazine.
RainStick Shower Founder Alisha McFetridge, an alumna of The Forum Pitch, highlighted the challenges of finding talent, the need for technology to contribute to carbon reduction, and growing drought in regions like the Okanagan with Innovate BC and B.C.’s minister of jobs, economic recovery, and innovation.
Threads Founder Xenia Chen, who is also an E-Series alumna, was featured by Girlboss as one of the latest founders in Girlboss Goods, its women-founded and operated marketplace.”
Take a moment to read about some of the amazing women and what they are doing with their businesses!
Thanks Forum!
